Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and author who won several prizes. She has been acclaimed by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in an artistic family located in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of arts. She started as a photography assistant and after that she moved on to acting and modeling. Her first two movies got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw became a global star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three years, she had been voted as the most popular female box-office starter in the world. In 1972, her footprints along with her signature were inscribed on the wall at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv miniseries The Winds of War. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
